Langkah ini menyusul pengajuan serupa oleh Canary Capital pada April lalu. Dalam dokumen pendaftaran S-1, ETF ini akan menggunakan indeks harga dari CF Benchmarks, yang mengambil data dari berbagai bursa kripto untuk memastikan pergerakan harga SEI tercermin secara akurat.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Apa_Itu_SEI\"><\/span><b>Apa Itu SEI?<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SEI adalah token asli dari jaringan SEI, blockchain layer-1 yang diluncurkan pada Agustus 2023. Jaringan ini dirancang khusus untuk mendukung infrastruktur perdagangan bagi decentralized exchanges (DEX) dan marketplace. Token SEI digunakan sebagai biaya gas dalam transaksi dan juga berfungsi sebagai alat partisipasi dalam tata kelola jaringan. Coinbase Custody Trust Company akan menjadi kustodian token SEI. Selain itu, 21Shares mempertimbangkan opsi staking SEI untuk menambah potensi imbal hasil, meski masih menilai kemungkinan risiko hukum, regulasi, maupun pajak.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Persaingan_Menjadi_yang_Pertama\"><\/span><b>Persaingan Menjadi yang Pertama<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Saat ini, SEC baru menyetujui ETF spot untuk Bitcoin dan Ethereum, sementara aset kripto lain masih menunggu keputusan. Dalam unggahan di platform X, 21Shares menyebut pengajuan ETF SEI ini sebagai tonggak penting untuk memperluas akses perdagangan aset kripto melalui bursa resmi. Sebelumnya, Canary Capital juga mengajukan ETF SEI yang menawarkan investor ritel maupun institusi eksposur langsung ke SEI yang di-staking, lengkap dengan potensi pendapatan pasif dari imbalan staking. Justin Barlow, Direktur Eksekutif Sei Development Foundation, menyebut ETF dapat menjadi gerbang utama menuju adopsi lebih luas karena menjembatani kripto dengan pasar keuangan tradisional.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Gelombang_Pengajuan_ETF_Kripto_Lain\"><\/span><b>Gelombang Pengajuan ETF Kripto Lain<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">21Shares sendiri sudah memiliki produk populer seperti ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF dan juga tengah mengajukan produk baru untuk melacak SUI, XRP, serta Ondo. Sementara itu, penerbit besar lainnya seperti VanEck, Bitwise, dan Grayscale ikut mendorong ETF untuk Solana, Cardano, hingga Dogecoin. Ramainya pengajuan ini menunjukkan meningkatnya minat institusional terhadap aset digital.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Regulasi_dan_Prospek_SEI\"><\/span><b>Regulasi dan Prospek SEI<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Untuk mempercepat proses persetujuan, SEC dikabarkan sedang menyiapkan mekanisme baru. Dengan sistem ini, penerbit hanya perlu mengajukan formulir S-1 dan menunggu 75 hari. Jika tidak ada keberatan resmi, ETF otomatis disetujui untuk diperdagangkan. Skema ini diharapkan mempersingkat komunikasi antara manajer dana dan regulator.
